First Tee integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum to create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience

William Flynn Foundation’s Donation to First Tee – Savannah

At the William Flynn Foundation, supporting the game of golf goes beyond celebrating the incredible designs of William Flynn. It’s also about honoring his legacy by making golf accessible to more people — especially those who can benefit from its confidence-building and therapeutic value.

That’s why we’re excited to share that the Foundation recently made a donation to First Tee – Savannah, with funds dedicated to their Adaptive School Program. This program is designed to make golf approachable and enjoyable for children with disabilities and neurodivergence, providing them with the tools to learn, play, and thrive.

Part of the donation will go toward purchasing new equipment necessary for teaching their adaptive golf school curriculum. Additionally, a fresh supply of school program materials will go to The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism — a unique organization in Savannah, Georgia. The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism offers children with autism an accredited, ABA-based year-round day school for autistic children, teens, and young adults.

We believe that golf is more than a sport. It’s an opportunity to build character, confidence, and connection — for everyone. The William Flynn Foundation is proud to play a role in supporting programs like these, helping more young people discover the joy of the game.
