The Fried Egg podcast with Wayne Morrison: 11/2/2021
The founder of Fried Egg Golf, Andy Johnson, asked me to join him for their first in a series of podcasts on golf course architects.
After lunch at Merion Golf Club and a tour of the East Course, his first time on those hallowed golfing grounds, we sat for an hour-long conversation on the Flynn biography, The Nature Faker with a focus on William Flynn’s extensive contributions to the sport of golf including design, construction, and agronomics. Wayne and Andy talked about Flynn’s involvement with many courses including Shinnecock Hills, Merion, Pine Valley, The Country Club, Cherry Hills, etc.
